Insurance excess protection
When you rent a car through Getaround, insurance is automatically included. The amount you may have to pay in the event of damage varies depending on the protection plan you choose. Here is everything you need to know for complete peace of mind.
Limited Protection
Included as standard
1.100€ excess
This is the default option. In the event of damage, you may have to pay up to 1.100€. A security deposit is held on your bank card at the start of the rental.
Essential Protection
Paid option
Reduced excess of €250
The excess is reduced to €250. A smaller security deposit is held on your bank card at the start of the rental. You pay a little more when booking but benefit from better protection in the event of an incident.
Premium Protection
Paid option
No excess
If damage occurs and is covered by the insurance, you will have nothing to pay. A smaller security deposit is held on your bank card at the start of the rental. Ideal for complete peace of mind!
